What is a good American?
Is it someone who votes?
Someone who pays taxes?
A rebel...a conformist?
Democrat...Republican?
Leader or follower?
Or...simply is it a person who is so free they have the opportunity to pick and choose the stereotypes they wish to break or conform?
Doug approached me to take some corporate headshots, but also told me to do anything else I wanted. Free range...an artist and photographer’s dream client.
My mind fluttered between traditional portraits and really edgy setups. I knew that Doug was going to wear a suit, so I couldn’t resist a chance to make an American Portrait.
Doug is quite unforgettable. He is wild and conservative at the same time. He is a suit and a Hawaiian shirt… he is a fine wine and a barrel of whiskey.
